The purpose of this section is to talk about ALL things Savannah. Their health, their temperament, best foods to feed them, how to leash train them (if you wish), vaccinations, vitamins and more. If there is anything specific you'd like me to address, please let me know! That's what I'm here for. These cats are my babies. I want the best for them, thus I am unstoppable with my quest for knowledge about this wonderful breed.
So, there are few things you're going to need before you bring your new Savannah kitten home:
- Stainless steel or ceramic bowls - plastic bowls tends to accumulate bacteria
- A bed or a blanket
- A litter box - we use Horse bedding pine/or wood pellets with no additives and that's what works best, it's natural and cost effective. We are not recommending clumping litter, since young kittens have a tendency of putting everything in their mouth (just like a little human babies J ) and it might cause a blockage of their digestive system, which could be very dangerous.
- Toys, toys, toys, a variety of different kinds
- Appropriate brush
- A carrier for traveling
- And of course... your food and vitamins which I am going to talk about in great detail little later, plus ALL of our kittens come with the New Kitten Welcome Kit which includes wet & dry food, toys and supplements
This should be all you need to get you started. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call anytime... even if it seems like a silly question... call anyway! That is what I am here for... you don't just get a Savannah kitten from me... you get lifelong assistance!
So again, welcome to Empire Savannah cattery, where wild exotic looks are combined with love and great personality!
